Customer Service

Where do I go to ship my package?
Major locations will provide a separate storefront for processing Greyhound Courier Express (GCX). See the Locations for a Greyhound Courier Express agent nearest you.

What are your hours of operation?
GCX shipping centers and Greyhound terminal hours vary by location with many locations offering service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How do I open a GCX commercial charge account?
Fill out and submit the online account application form or call 1-877-GO-DOG-GO (1-877-463-6446).

Can individuals obtain commercial charge account privileges?
GCX does not currently grant charge account privileges to individuals. We will, however, consider applications from individuals with home-based businesses on a case by case basis.

Can the recipient pay for the shipping charges at the other end?
Shipments may travel from origin to destination “Collect” where freight charges are paid at the destination. “C.O.D.” service is used when the consignee has not paid the value of the goods being shipped. The cost for the item is included in the total charges on the bus bill. Greyhound collects the total charges. Then, the amount for the value of the goods is forwarded to the shipper.
This service is for express carried from station to station or door to station entirely on Greyhound routes. C.O.D. shipments will be held at the destination station for a maximum of seven days. Payment to be made by cash, certified cheque, money order or debit card. No payments by charge account or credit card will be accepted. What do I do if I forgot my user ID and/or password?

Delivery

Where do you deliver?
Greyhound Courier Express offers shipping solutions worldwide. Whether your package is going to a large city or a small town, our comprehensive network assures swift, efficient service and the flexibility of a number of cost-efficient delivery options.

How long will it take for the package to arrive?
Arrival times are dependent on the shipment's service level. Visit the Products and Services page for more details.

Will the recipient be notified upon arrival of the package?
Yes, the recipient's phone number you provide at the time of shipping will be utilized to notify the recipient. If no phone number is provided, a postcard will be sent notifying the recipient of the shipment's availability.

Does GCX deliver to homes and apartments?
Yes. Greyhound Courier Express offers Door to Door service in most major locations. Residential surcharge may apply.

Can I insure my package?
Shipments with a declared value in excess of $100 can be insured for an additional fee. Consult our Terms and Conditions page for details.

Packages / Packaging

What are your package weight and size restrictions?
The maximum weight per package is 100 pounds. EXCEPT for Ontario and East locations maximum seventy-five (75) lbs. The extreme measurements of length, width, and height shall not exceed 24" x 40" x 84".

What are your packaging requirements?
All shipments must be packed in containers made of material of strength, durability and quality sufficient to withstand the handling, piling, strapping and rubbing incident to its transportation over highway by bus or truck. All packages containing FRAGILE or PERISHABLE articles must be marked in large letters, preferably with appropriate labels. See Terms and Conditions for complete packaging requirements.

Should I leave my package open for inspection?
If appropriate, leave open for inspection. Greyhound reserves the right to open and inspect shipments when deemed necessary, and to refuse those improperly or inadequately packed, those damaged, and those containing articles prohibited for shipment. Tape will be made available to finish your packaging.

Do I have to have the item boxed or crated?
No, but the item must be prepared with appropriate packaging materials in order to protect the item being shipped as well as other items traveling in bus cargo.

GCX rates vary by weight, distance and service level. Please obtain rate information online or by calling 1-877-GO-DOG-GO (1-877-463-6446).

Do you ship animals?
No. GCX does not currently provide pet transport services.

Can I see my bill online?
Invoices are available in PDF format via email. Instructions for registering are provided on all mailed invoices.

Can I pay my bill online?
You can pay your Greyhound Courier Express invoice by going directly to our secure bill pay site

Who do I contract if I have a billing inquiry?
Billing inquiries should be submitted to the representative listed on your Greyhound Courier Express invoice. If your invoice is not available or you have a general billing question, you can contact us via the "Billing Inquiries" link on the Contact Us page or call Accounts Receivable Customer Service at 877-364-2555.
